‘Data Sharing’ Intelligence Network Event

Back in the office after a very successful and informative afternoon at Nottingham Playhouse. Not mentioned in the mini-posts below…excellent presentation from Simon Fisher at DWP on Government Connect, program being rolled out across government departments and agencies to enable the secure transfer of information “without touching the internet”.

Implementation of this program opens up some intriguing potential in improving the standard of public services. Take a look at the video above outlining the ‘Tell Us Once’ pilot program in Southwark, aiming at reducing the myriad notifications currently necessary when informing authorirites of a bereavement.
