Crime and disorder – the priorities?

Prime Minister’s views on the priority areas for the police and those involved in community safety to focus on:

Some of the key points

Stresses the importance of local feedback on key areas: “members of the public can identify problems, ask for, and get, action” – primarily through monthly meetings between the community and the police.
In autumn a “safer streets interactive website” will be released along with a system for tracking their case online in the context of the crime statistics for the local area.

Does this tie in with REM’s vision of helping people make better places?
