Sub-national Data user group – get involved!

February 20, 2009

The Association of Regional Observatories (hosted by REM, and counting Intelligence East Midlands amongst its members) is working with the Statistics User Forum and Office for National Statistics to find out whether users of sub-national data (regional, local and other levels) would like to share their views with the producers of those statistics.

ARO are looking for data users who can spare half a day (with reasonable travel expenses covered) to join a meeting to discuss the issues that a user group might address, and to shape a programme of meetings or events for the group.  We’d also like to hear from anyone who would be interested in attending those meetings and events, to hear from producers and have a chance to have their say on what works and what needs further development.

The user group will be open to those in the public sector, plus academia and the private sector, to represent the widest possible range of views.  So if you, or a colleague, would like to get involved, please contact Nicola Underdown, the ARO coordinator, by email or phone (0115 979 2333).
